Well Wednesday passed and McDonalds had come out with its annual hockey cards........I try every year to put the set together because I find that the set every year looks real great and you have a chance at some real nice inserts.....besides you can not complain about a 99 cent price tag for a three card pack.......the only thing that I am not to crazy about is you are limited to 3 packs per order which means you have to make plenty of visits and a lot of burgers ....I do not mind a McDonalds burger once and awhile but it is not my choice of food so I bring the kids nieces and nephews who just covet the food and let them run wild in the playroom afterwards.......This years set is once again very nice ........I go after the much coveted Russian super star Sergei Puckisin and Nogoaloff and who can forget Holie the Goalie...lol....anyhow here is what this years cards look like the players are embossed with a holofoil background........

and here are a few of the inserts goaltending greats die cut with triangular perforations to give a net feel..................

and then there are the Horizons inserts which I like they look like the hometown heroes insert except with etched foil an added plus.........

a 1 in 20 ratio they also have a pride of Canada insert unfortunatly I have none to show and are a 1 in 40 insertion rate last but not least if you are lucky enough to pull one there are the In the Spotlight insert 1 in 60 I hit one...

now you see why I like chasing this set every year the set is 50 cards forgot to mention there are 6 checklist cards 1 in 4 forgot pics sorry.........

Very cool cards.  Wish they had them in the States.  Some weeks we end up going to Mickey D's WAY too often as both of my girls start asking for the stuff quite often.  Even my 1 year old says "fries" when she sees we are near one.   I wonder why the US McDonald's don't do an NFL set or some other Upper Deck sport set???
