I have a soccer jersey that was washed. The signatures on it bled. A sharpie was used for the signatures. Any remedies to get rid of the ink. Also how should it have been washed, if it has to be washed....thanks

Welcome to the forum.

I believe I'd recommend never washing signed or game-used jerseys as I'm guessing most are signed in Sharpies and would have a similar result if washed. Not sure if anything can be done now that it's been washed. Normally I'd recommend a pre-treatment of some sort of stain remover on the spot but not sure I'd recommend that with a signed jersey. The best bet with any game-used or signed jerseys is to get them into some air-tight or nearly air-tight display as soon as possible as it seems to keep the signatures looking good longer. Maybe someone else has had more experience with this kind of problem and can give you some additional tip(s).
